Losing no time after the verdict came last evening, Yeddyurappa dispatched a copy of the judgement to party President Nitin Gadkari, who recently had rebuked him for mounting pressure for his reinstatement as chief minister and indicated he had to come clean in the corruption cases.
Sources close to Yeddyurappa said he had only sent the judgement copy to Gadkari, but it is seen as a reminder about the party's promise that justice would be rendered to him once he was cleared of the charges.
Gowda said he would not like to comment on the issue of Yeddyurappa's reinstatement. "When our leader Nitin Gadkari had come here recently, he had categorically asked us not to discuss this issue. We are bound by the instructions given by our high command and are going to follow it."

The decision will be Geelani questioned by policeWednesday, March 7, 2012 New Delhi, Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani was Wednesday questioned here for recommending a Pakistani visa for a suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist arrested for allegedly plotting a terror attack in the capital, police said.
"Geelani reached Lodhi Road office of the Special Cell around 3 p.m. today and was let off after 15 minutes of questioning," said an investigation officer.
Police earlier found a copy of Geelani's recommendation letter with Ahtesham Malik, one of the two alleged Lashkar terrorists arrested in Delhi.
According to police, the 24-year-old Malik was in Pakistan last summer. Earlier this morning, a meeting of the SP parliamentary board was held in which majority of members pitched for state president Akhilesh Yadav as the next chief minister.
However, the final decision will be taken by party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.
"Majority of MLAs are in favour of making Akhilesh the next CM. At the meeting of legislators, they will put in their views on the issue", party national general secretary Naresh Agarwal told PTI.
