LOHRI CELEBRATIONS’ AT CTPS

Jalandhar, 21 Jan. (DNS)- The festival of Lohri was celebrated in the Assembly ground of CT Public School with great fervour and enthusiasm. Chairman CT Educational Society, S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Co-chairperson Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Managing Director Mr. Manbir Singh, Mrs. Tanika, Mr. Harpreet Singh Channi and Principal Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur graced the auspicious occasion with their benign-presence. To make the festival of Lohri a memorable event, the students of CT Public School organized a cultural programme on the stage in which they entertained and captivated everyone with their lively performances. The students presented folk songs of Punjab, Bhangra, Gidda, Skit etc. Students of classes V & VI performed on the tune of music to entertain the audience. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur in her address told the students regarding the importance of Lohri festival. She acknowledged that these festivals are the need of our modern society which bind us together with love, unity and humanity. They also teach us about our rich heritage, tradition and culture. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATED IN CT KINDERGARTEN

Jalandhar, Dec.29 (Doaba News Service)- In order to inculcate the qualities of understanding, sharing, tolerance and brotherhood, the birth of Lord Jesus i.e. Christmas was celebrated in the kindergarten of CT Public School amidst great pomp and fervour. The kindergarten was decorated with stars and snow and it gave the look of a fairyland. All the children of Nursery, L.K.G & U.K.G and classes I to III came dressed up as ‘Santas’. An enactment was presented by teachers and students of Kindergarten about the birth of baby Jesus in order to free humanity from the suffering of the tyrants of the time. Santa Claus came and distributed gifts to one and all. All the children sang Christmas Carols and danced to the tune of “Jingle Bells”. A Christmas Cake was cut and relished by Co-Chairperson of CT Educational Society, Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Mrs. Tanika Channi, Mrs. Lakhvinder Kaur (Principal) and all the teachers and students.
