BJP, Left slam petrol price hike
New Delhi, Reacting to the steep petrol price hike, the main opposition party BJP demanded an immediate rollback of what it described as a cruel joke on the people. The Left parties have called upon all party units to immediately organize powerful protest actions," CPM general secretary Prakash Karat said.
His colleague Sitaram Yechury said the move was a "criminal additional burden" on people's livelihood.
