The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Thursday warned of a nationwide movement against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and gave him a 48-hour ultimatum to resign from his post.

The party said that if the Chief Election Commissioner does not resign within the stipulated period, it will launch a nationwide agitation and subsequently hold a protest in Delhi.

The development comes amid the party’s criticism of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process and reported disagreements within the Election Commission. During a press conference held in Delhi, CJP leaders Abhijeet Deepke, Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka accused the Chief Election Commissioner of weakening the country’s democratic system and alleged large-scale irregularities in voter lists.

The party warned that if Gyanesh Kumar does not resign within 48 hours, it will begin a major nationwide movement.

CJP Founder Makes Allegations Over SIR

CJP founder Abhijeet Deepke, while addressing the press conference in Delhi, alleged that Gyanesh Kumar was “the biggest traitor” of the country. He claimed that more than 13 crore votes had been deleted through the SIR process and alleged that people were being deprived of their right to vote.

Deepke said that democracy means that people should choose their government. He alleged that since Gyanesh Kumar became Chief Election Commissioner, the government was deciding who would be able to vote and who would not.

Deepke further alleged, “Since Gyanesh Kumar became the Election Commissioner, the names of more than 13 crore voters have been deleted in different states. Is Gyanesh Kumar deliberately deleting votes so that the BJP never goes out of power? What was the need to do this?”

CJP Claims Voter Names Deleted in Several States

Addressing the press conference, Abhijeet Deepke said recent media reports concerning the functioning of the Election Commission had demonstrated, in CJP’s view, that fair elections had become a major fraud.

CJP claimed that the names of crores of valid voters had been systematically removed from electoral rolls in states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana.

Deepke further alleged that since Gyanesh Kumar assumed the position of Chief Election Commissioner, the tradition of people choosing their government had been affected.

Citing figures, he claimed that large-scale deletion of names in states where elections were decided by narrow margins was part of a deliberate political strategy aimed at weakening regional parties and strong opposition leaders.

The allegations made by CJP and its leaders were presented during the party’s press conference.
