Anmol Sharma assumes charge as Doraha Municipal Council President; Kanwaljit Singh Bittu takes over as Senior Vice-President

Doraha, July 27 (Amrish Anand): Young leader Anmol Sharma on Monday formally assumed office as the President of the Doraha Municipal Council, while Kanwaljit Singh Bittu took charge as the Senior Vice-President during a swearing-in ceremony attended by Payal MLA Engg. Manwinder Singh Giaspura and Doraha Municipal Council Executive Officer Harnarinder Singh Shergill.The ceremony was also attended by DSP S.Harmanpreet Singh Cheema and Doraha SHO Akash Dutt, along with councillors, former office-bearers and prominent political and social personalities from the town.Congratulating the newly elected office-bearers, MLA S.Manwinder Singh Giaspura expressed confidence that under Anmol Sharma's leadership, the Municipal Council would usher in a new phase of development, transparency and people-centric governance. He said the council was expected to accelerate civic development works and deliver efficient public services while addressing the aspirations of residents.After assuming office, Anmol Sharma thanked the people of Doraha for their trust and support and assured them that he would discharge his responsibilities with honesty, dedication and accountability. He said his priority would be the overall development of the town, strengthening civic infrastructure and ensuring that public grievances are addressed promptly through collective efforts.Senior Vice-President S.Kanwaljit Singh Bittu also expressed gratitude to the residents and pledged to work in close coordination with the council president and fellow councillors for the welfare of the town. He said the council would remain committed to undertaking development projects and improving civic amenities for the benefit of all sections of society.Among those present were former Municipal Council President Sudarshan Kumar Sharma, councillors Priya Sharma, Pankaj Gautam, Ricky Bector and Jaswant Kaur Lohat, former council president and councillor Kulwant Singh, former councillor Rajinder Gahir, Harinder Hinda, Amrik Chand councillor Buta Singh, Rano, Rana Kooner, Bobby Tiwari ,Bobby Kapila and Sunny Ashat, besides representatives of various social, religious and political organisations. The dignitaries felicitated the newly elected office-bearers and wished them a successful tenure dedicated to the progress and development of Doraha.
