Renowned Tabla Player from Punjab: Mushtaq Ali

Among the notable exponents of this art is Punjab’s celebrated tabla player, Mushtaq Ali.Born in Ludhiana to Shri Ajit Lal (Jeeta) and Smt. Pasho, Mushtaq Ali displayed remarkable command over the instrument from a very young age. He received training under eminent tabla maestros including Late Ustad Iqbal Mohammad, Late Ustad Rang Ali, Late Salim Ali, and Sadiq Salim of the Punjab Gharana.Over the years, Ali has served as a tabla instructor in several institutions and continues to actively contribute to the field of music.
