Indian Railways Announces Special Trains for Festivals, New Delhi–Katra Services Extended

In view of the increasing number of passengers during the festive season, Northern Railway has decided to operate two pairs of reserved special trains between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. A special train will also run between Malda Town and Haridwar. In addition, the operating period of another special train between New Delhi and Katra has been extended until November 6.

New Delhi–Katra Special Trains: Schedule

According to the railway, train number 04085, the New Delhi–Katra Special, will depart from New Delhi on October 15 and 17. In the return direction, train number 04086, the Katra–New Delhi Special, will operate on October 16 and 18.

The train will depart from New Delhi at 2 PM and reach Katra at 3 AM the following day. En route, it will stop at Sonipat, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt, Dhandari Kalan, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Kathua, Jammu Tawi and Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan stations.

On the return journey, the train will depart from Katra at 10 AM and reach New Delhi at 11:30 PM the following day.

Similarly, train number 04485, the New Delhi–Katra Special, will operate on October 18 and 20, while train number 04486, the Katra–New Delhi Special, will run on October 19 and 21.

This train will have AC and sleeper-class coaches. It will depart from New Delhi at 2:15 PM and reach Katra at 3 AM the following day. On the return journey, it will depart from Katra at 10 AM and arrive in New Delhi at 11:30 PM the following day.

Malda Town–Haridwar Special Train Schedule

Railway authorities have announced that train number 03437, the Malda Town–Haridwar Special, will operate on October 17, 24 and 31, as well as November 7, 14, 21 and 28.

In the return direction, train number 03438, the Haridwar–Malda Town Special, will operate on October 18 and 25, and November 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

The train will depart from Malda Town at 10 AM and reach Haridwar at 5 PM the following day.
