Photographs circulating online, claimed to show Hardeep Singh Puri meeting convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, have brought renewed attention to his past interactions with the American financier.
A social media summary accompanying the images says they show Puri and Epstein seated in rooms during what appear to be professional discussions. However, the supplied screenshot does not establish the photographs’ dates, full context or original source.
The summary names Congress leader Supriya Shrinate and Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra among those questioning whether the images are consistent with Puri’s earlier explanation that he met Epstein as part of delegations. The specific statements attributed to them in the summary could not be independently confirmed.
Puri had previously acknowledged meeting Epstein on a limited number of occasions. In February 2026, he said the meetings were connected to his work with the International Peace Institute and described the interactions as professional. He denied wrongdoing.
The circulation of photographs does not, by itself, establish involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities. Their provenance and the circumstances of the meetings require verification before further conclusions can be drawn.
Puri’s earlier acknowledgement and denial were reported in February; the circulation of the photographs was also covered on October 21.
