India has won its seventh gold medal at the Asian Games 2026. On Wednesday, Team India defeated China 238-234 in the women’s compound team event to clinch the gold medal.

The Indian team comprised Jyothi Surekha, Chikitha Taniparthi and Preetika Pradeep. Preetika and Jyothi did not miss a single shot in the final.

With a score of 238 points, India also equalled the women’s team world record. This is the second consecutive time that India has won the gold medal in this event.

On the 11th day of the Asian Games, 24 gold medals are at stake. India is currently in ninth position with 53 medals, comprising 7 gold, 21 silver and 25 bronze medals.
