Gusain and Principal Pritish Gusain. On this occasion, the students created attractive charts filled with vibrant colors. They also presented articles and poems related to Holi. During the morning assembly, a sixth-grade student provided a detailed insight into the history of Holi.Through their articles, the students educated everyone about the significance of Holi and its varied traditions across the country. They explained that the festival's roots lie deep in Indian mythology. In many places, Holi is linked to the ancient Indian legend of King Hiranyakashipu. The story tells how Hiranyakashipu, an enemy of Lord Vishnu, sought to kill his own son Prahlad, a devout follower of Vishnu. To accomplish this, he took the help of his sister, Holika, who had a magical cloak that made her immune to fire. She sat in a blazing fire with Prahlad on her lap, intending to burn him alive. However, instead of protecting Holika, the cloak safeguarded Prahlad, leading to Holika’s demise. Later that night, Lord Vishnu defeated Hiranyakashipu, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.In many parts of India, the night before Holi, people light a large bonfire, known as Holika Dahan, to commemorate this legend. In other regions, Holi is also associated with Lord Krishna and Radha’s playful celebrations with colors. The event was graced by several dignitaries from the Saraswati School Management, including Shri D.S. Gusain, Shri Marari Lal Goel, Shri Madan Singh Bhandari, and School Manager Madam Asha Gusain. Along with Principal Pritish Gusain, school staff members, and beloved students, everyone enjoyed the vibrant celebrations of Holi.
