Independence Day Security Tightened in Doraha, Police Conduct Special Checking at Beant Singh Chowk

Doraha, August 13 (Amrish Anand): In view of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, Khanna Police has intensified security arrangements across Doraha and adjoining areas. Following the directions of SSP Khanna Dr. Darpan Kaur Ahluwalia Ips , and under the able supervision of DSP Payal S.Harmanpreet Singh Cheema, a special naka was conducted at Beant Singh Chowk, Doraha, by SHO Doraha S. Jashanpreet Singh Sran and his team.During the checking operation, police personnel thoroughly checked vehicles passing through the busy intersection. Particular attention was given to suspicious vehicles and individuals, while vehicle documents and other necessary details were also verified. The checking was carried out as part of the enhanced security measures being implemented ahead of Independence Day.Police officials said that special security arrangements have been put in place at key locations, major intersections, marketplaces and other sensitive points to ensure a peaceful and incident-free Independence Day. Regular patrolling and surveillance have also been intensified throughout the area.SHO Doraha S. Jashanpreet Singh said that the police force remains fully alert and prepared to deal with any suspicious or unlawful activity. He added that strict checking and monitoring would continue in the coming days to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of residents.The police also appealed to the public to cooperate with the checking teams and remain vigilant. Residents were advised to immediately inform the police about any suspicious person, vehicle or unattended object noticed in their surroundings.Officials reiterated that maintaining peace, public safety and law and order remains the top priority, and all necessary measures are being taken to ensure that Independence Day celebrations are conducted smoothly and safely across Doraha.
