7-year-old girl missing from Samrala bus stand traced safely by police

Doraha April 27 (Amrish Anand): Acting swiftly under the directions of SSP Khanna Dr. Darpan Kaur Ahluwalia and under the supervision of DSP Samrala S. Pritpal Singh Sandhu, the Khanna police successfully traced a 7-year-old girl who had gone missing from the Samrala bus stand and reunited her with her parents within a short span of time.According to information, Kirandeep Kaur, wife of Balwinder Singh, a resident of village Firore under Khamanon police station in Fatehgarh Sahib district, was waiting for a bus at Samrala bus stand on April 27 along with her daughter Seerat (7). Amid the rush at the bus stand, the child suddenly went missing, leaving the mother distressed. She immediately alerted the authorities by calling the emergency helpline 112.Upon receiving the information, SI Satnam Singh, SHO Samrala, along with the ERV 112 team, rushed to the spot and launched an extensive search operation. The police conducted thorough checking in and around the bus stand and also questioned people present at the location. Due to the prompt and coordinated efforts of the police, the child was traced within a short time.The girl was later handed over safely to her parents, bringing relief to the family. The parents expressed their gratitude to the Khanna police for their swift response. Local residents have also appreciated the police for their prompt and efficient action.Police officials have urged the public to immediately contact the emergency helpline 112 in case of any such situation to ensure timely assistance.
