Asian Games: India Wins Gold and Silver Medals in Shooting

India won two medals within two minutes at the Asian Games on Friday, with both medals coming in shooting events.

The duo of Suruchi and Kamaljeet won the gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Event at 9:00 AM. Just two minutes later, at 9:02 AM, India won a silver medal in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event.

These are India’s second gold medal and another silver medal at the ongoing Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan. Earlier, the Indian women’s cricket team had won the first gold medal for the country at the Games.

Indian athletes have also secured medals in sports including squash, kabaddi and table tennis.

At present, India is placed 12th in the medal tally with a total of 19 medals, including two gold medals.
