Aam Aadmi Party’s Kiranpreet Kaur elected Chairperson; Jarnail Singh becomes Vice-Chairperson

Doraha, March 13 Amrish Anand :- A special meeting of the elected members of the Doraha Block Samiti was convened at the Samiti office to conduct the election for the posts of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. During the meeting, Kiranpreet Kaur, wife of Kuljinder Singh and a resident of Dhamot, was unanimously elected as the Chairperson of Doraha Block Samiti, while Jarnail Singh was elected as the Vice-Chairperson.It is noteworthy that out of the 17 zones of the Doraha Block Samiti, six members belong to the Congress Party, three to the Shiromani Akali Dal and seven to the Aam Aadmi Party. The elected members include Karamjit Singh (Rajgarh), Manjit Singh (Jarg), Jarnail Singh (Maksudra), Sarabjit Kaur (Katari), Jagdeep Kaur (Malipur), Lakhvir Singh (Aujla) and Kiran Deep Kaur (Dhamot).On this occasion, Payal MLA Engineer Manwinder Singh Giaspura congratulated the newly elected Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. He stated that the Block Samiti plays an important role in the development of villages and in resolving the basic issues faced by the people. He expressed hope that the newly elected team would work collectively for the development of the area.Members of the Aam Aadmi Party’s Block Samiti were also present and extended their congratulations to the newly elected office-bearers. Kiranpreet Kaur and Jarnail Singh thanked all the members for their support and assured that they would work with dedication to fulfil the expectations of the people and contribute to the development of the region.Among others present on the occasion were Municipal Council President Sudarshan “Pappu”, former Chairman Buta Singh Rano, Sarpanch Gurinder Singh Boparai, and Jaswant Singh Kala.
                 Independent Member Dalwinder Singh Rampur Extends Support
During the election of the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, the winning members belonging to the Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal remained absent from the meeting. However, Dalwinder Singh Rampur, who was elected as an independent member from the Rampur zone, attended the meeting and extended his support to the election process.
