Musical Programme Organized on Third Death Anniversary of Ustad Iqbal Mohammad and Ustad Rang Ali

Ludhiana , January 31 (Amrish Anand):A soulful musical tribute programme was organized on Thursday morning at Shri Hanuman Janj Ghar, Jawahar Nagar Camp, Ludhiana, on the third death anniversary of renowned maestros of the Punjab Gharana, Ustad Iqbal Mohammad and Ustad Rang Ali. The event was held with the blessings of Hazrat Baba Ashok Shah Ji and Hazrat Baba Kanwar Shah Ji Dr. Savita Uppal (Former Principal, Arya College) marked her special presence on the occasion. Other noted artists who performed included tabla exponent Pandit Siddharth Chatterjee from Kolkata, singer Harleen Akhtar, tabla player Mushtaq Ali, Nachhatar Navi, Shahiyad, and Shinda Shauki along with his party. Through powerful and soulful performances, especially qawwali renditions, the artists enthralled the audience and paid rich musical tributes to the legendary ustads.During the programme, Mukhtiyar Ali, Sadik Salim, and Rafiq Chanchal expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, artists, and attendees. A large number of music lovers and prominent citizens of the city were present at the event. The organizers also arranged tea and langar for the guests and visitors.The programme proved to be a commendable effort to remember the musical legacy of Ustad Iqbal Mohammad and Ustad Rang Ali and to pass it on to future generations.
