Ludhiana: Feb 2 Amrish Anand Nachhatar Navi, son of Nirmal Singh and Kalash Kaur, a resident of Ludhiana and born in 1996, has carved a distinguished identity for himself in the field of Indian classical and contemporary music as a professional tabla and percussion artist.Nachhatar Navi developed a deep inclination towards music from early childhood. He inherited the foundation of his musical journey from his father, a renowned tabla player, who introduced him to the art of rhythm and instilled in him a lifelong passion for music. Alongside his formal education, Navi pursued rigorous training in tabla under the guidance of Ustad Rang Ali Ji, whose Dada Guru was the legendary Ustad Iqbal Mohammad Ji.At the young age of Twelve, Nachhatar Navi performed his first live stage show, an experience that further strengthened his dedication towards music. With time, his passion intensified, leading him to perform in numerous live concerts across the region and beyond. He has shared the stage as a tabla and percussion player with several celebrated Punjabi and Bollywood singers, including Rangle Sardar, Mohammad Sadiq, Master Saleem, Feroz Khan, G Khan, Khan Saab, Masha Ali, and Bollywood playback singer Sunny Hindustani.With over 15 years of professional experience, Nachhatar Navi has been actively associated with the Punjabi and Bollywood music industries. He has contributed to several studio recordings and music projects, including work for T-Series music videos, collaborating with reputed studios across Ludhiana and Punjab.In addition to his performance career, Nachhatar Navi is also a dedicated music educator. He served as a Music Teacher and Tabla Instructor at Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, where he has five years of teaching experience, nurturing young talent and promoting classical music among students.His achievements also include participation in various prestigious cultural platforms. He has performed at Youth Festivals, Inter-Zonal Festivals, and National-level cultural events held in several states. His notable performances include events at Khalsa College for Women, Guru Nanak Girls College, Ramgarhia Girls College, AMITY University, Chandigarh, and Chandigarh University, among many other institutions.Through his dedication, discipline, and artistic excellence, Nachhatar Navi continues to uphold and promote the rich heritage of Indian classical music while successfully blending it with modern musical expressions.
