Vishwakarma Day Celebrated with Devotion at Sri Vishwakarma Temple, Doraha

22 October, Doraha (Amrish Anand) — Sri Vishwakarma Temple Committee, Doraha, observed Vishwakarma Day with great devotion and traditional rituals. The idol of Lord Vishwakarma was ceremonially bathed and adorned with new attire, followed by the flag-hoisting ceremony performed by S.Karnail Singh Spal.After the recitation of Sri Vishwakarma Puran, the bhog and aarti were performed. Baba Malkit Singh delivered kirtan and a spiritual discourse, while various kirtan jathas, raagis and dhadis sang the glory of Lord Vishwakarma, the Creator of the Universe. Leaders from various political parties were also present on this occasion. Addressing the gathering, mla. Manwinder Singh Giaspura highlighted the immense contribution of the artisan community and stated that everything from a needle to an aircraft is a gift of Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect of the universe. Former MLA and District Congress Committee Khanna President S. Lakhvir Singh Lakha said that followers of Lord Vishwakarma have played a key role in Punjab’s progress, which is why the day is observed as a celebration of tool worship and divine craftsmanship.The temple committee honoured distinguished guests from various social, religious, and political organisations. After Rehraas Sahib recitation, Raagi Bhai Heera Singh Macchiwara wale conducted the Diwan.Prominent attendees included MLA Manvinder Singh Giaspura, Nagar Council President Sudarshan Sharma Pappu, former MLA President District khanna Congress S. Lakhvir Singh Lakha, Coordinator payal Chairman Bant Singh Doburji,Mandeep Singh mangat ,Rajinder gahir, Doraha Congress President Vineet Ashat,Anish bhanot,Sikanderpal BJP leaders Bikramjeet Singh Cheema and Bhupinder Singh Cheema, leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal, and Sri Vishwakarma Temple Committee President Harvinder Singh Lally, Avtar Singh Gurthli, , Harjeet kharay , Devinder raja ,along with committee members and local residents.
